The BigIdeasDB Build Challenge is a cashback program that pays paying members back for building a product from the BigIdeasDB database of 1M+ validated user complaints and 15,000+ SaaS ideas. Launch a product for 25% back, reach $1,000 in total revenue for 50% back, or reach $10,000 for a full 100% refund. You unlock the single highest tier you reach, with one reward per member. The challenge is open to all paid members (Lite, Basic, or Pro), has no deadline, and is claimed by emailing proof to ompatel@om.bigideasdb.com. The fine print
The rules, plainly
No tricks. Here's exactly how the challenge works.
- Open to all paid members: Lite, Basic, and Pro, whether lifetime or subscription. Free accounts aren't eligible.
- No deadline. Qualify whenever you hit a milestone. There's no countdown.
- One reward per customer. You unlock the single highest tier you reach; rewards aren't additive.
- The 25% Ship It tier isn't available on purchases made with a discount or coupon code. The $1K and $10K tiers still apply.
- Your product must be clearly based on an idea or pain point from BigIdeasDB.
- Revenue must be real and verifiable, from the product you built (Stripe, another payment processor, or public MRR).
- Cashback is based on what you actually paid (excluding taxes and fees) and is returned to your original payment method.
- This is a deliberate exception to our standard "all sales are final" policy. To keep it fair, verification and final approval are at BigIdeasDB's discretion.

Challenge questions
- Who's eligible for the challenge?
Any paid member: Lite, Basic, or Pro, on a lifetime or subscription plan. Free accounts aren't eligible. If you're a paying customer, you're automatically in. Just hit a milestone and email us.
- What counts as “building a product”?
A real, publicly accessible product: a live web app, mobile app, or tool that anyone can visit and use, built around an idea or pain point you found in the BigIdeasDB database. A private prototype, a landing page with no product behind it, or a design mockup doesn't qualify.
- How do you verify revenue?
For the $1K and $10K tiers, send us proof of real, paying customers: a Stripe (or other payment processor) dashboard, or a public MRR page. It needs to be revenue earned by the product you built from the database. We review every submission individually.
- Can subscribers enter, or just lifetime buyers?
Both. Cashback is calculated on what you've actually paid (excluding taxes and fees) and returned to your original payment method, whether that's a one-time lifetime purchase or a subscription.
- I used a discount code. Can I still enter?
Yes, with one limit: the 25% Ship It tier isn't available on purchases made with a discount or coupon code. The $1K (50%) and $10K (100%) revenue tiers still apply in full, so building a product that earns real revenue still pays you back.
- Is there a deadline?
No. There's no countdown. Qualify whenever you reach a milestone. Build at your own pace and claim your reward when you get there.
- How and when do I get paid?
Email your proof to ompatel@om.bigideasdb.com. Once we verify it, your cashback goes back to your original payment method. We typically respond within 24 hours.
- Doesn't BigIdeasDB have a no-refund policy?
We do. All sales are normally final. The Build Challenge is a deliberate exception: a reward for actually shipping and growing a product from the database. To keep it fair for everyone, verification and final approval are at our discretion.
