Persistent memory changes what a conversation can do. Instead of a series of one-off questions, a thread becomes a running line of reasoning: you can refine an answer over several messages, refer back to something you established earlier, and pick the thread up later exactly where you left it. The assistant is working with the project as it stands, not with whatever you managed to fit into a single prompt.

Getting good answers from a thread
