Built-in skills

  • Validate an idea (validate-an-idea): checks whether a business idea has real demand, using the evidence saved on this computer. Give it the idea in a sentence or two.
  • Buy vs build (buy-vs-build): decides whether to build a product or buy an existing business or tool, using the idea and evidence in the project.
  • Complaint clustering (complaint-clustering): groups the complaints saved in the project into ranked problems, with counts and quotes the app computes. Name an idea, or leave it empty for the whole project.
  • Evidence board write-up (evidence-board-writeup): turns the evidence saved for an idea into a short, honest write-up with sources.
  • Ideation canvas (ideation-canvas): finds a few strong business ideas from the research on this computer and lays them out on the canvas. Name a niche, or leave it empty to use the Brief card.
  • Deep Research (deep-research): plans, analyses and summarises a multi-source run on one product. Give it a product name, or leave it empty to continue the open run. See the Deep Research guide.

Run a skill

Type / in the chat to open the Skills menu and pick one. Some skills take one input, such as the idea to validate. Skills set up for a different agent are greyed out with a note on which one to switch to.

Create your own

  1. 1

    Open Settings, Skills

    Press Create a skill.

  2. 2

    Name it

Use lowercase letters, numbers and dashes, up to 64 characters.

  3. 3

    Describe it

One line, up to 300 characters. This is what the menu shows.

  4. 4

    Write the instructions

Plain text. Say what to do and what to save.

  5. 5

    Choose where it applies

Global works in every project. This project keeps it in one.

Name clashes

If your skill has the same name as a built-in one, the built-in wins and yours is hidden. Rename yours to use it.

Skills as MCP prompts

Turn on "Offer my global skills to other AI clients as MCP prompts" and your global skills appear as prompts in the clients you connected. Built-in skills are offered as prompts too. See Connect your AI.
